The Academy of Spirituality and Paranormal Studies, Inc. sponsors an annual conference at which academically significant presentations are given that combine aspects of both psychical research and religion.

In past years the Academy has also sponsored a Robert H. Ashby Memorial Award competition that offered a $500 cash prize for the best paper on an announced subject. In each case, the winning paper was presented at the annual conference.
