Love Horoscope for the Week of April 25

Are you feeling the love, what with Venus now at the tail end of its sign of exaltation, Pisces? No? Well, fear not. You’ve still got a week of it to come. And if you’ve found yourself recently expending a lot of time and energy on love (or on Amazon, or on breaking your diet), brace yourself for impact!

In fact, Venus is the star of our astrological show this week, with three major events all helping her shine on her way out of the sign of her exaltation. On Thursday, Venus conjunct Neptune in Pisces is exact. Do you know how some people were talking about how some kind of a “portal” opened to the “Higher Energies” last month, on 2/02/2022? I don’t know of anyone personally who got Raptured that day, but a lot of people gained some benefit from it. Think of Venus conjunct Neptune in Pisces as opening a portal to affection, overeating, and overspending. In a good way. Probably.

On Friday, Pluto turns retrograde at 28 degrees Capricorn. We probably shouldn’t get as bent out of shape as we often do about this sort of thing. Mercury retrograde may raise regular, daily-level hassles, but Pluto is retrograde for long periods of time: this one, for example, isn’t over until October. Don’t worry though: Pluto won’t be doing anything to you by transit that it hasn’t been doing to you already for at least a year and a half, and for most of you it has been (at worst) bearable. Having said that, if any of you out there reading this were born July 4, 1776… hang on to your hat for the rest of the year. The Pluto Return can be a challenge.

Also on Friday, Mercury enters Gemini. I could properly describe the general effect that will have on your communications, but that would involve a lot of long-winded digressions and unnecessary adjectives (by my standards, even!), so I’ll just let you figure that one out on your own.

Finally, Saturday holds a lot of potential for romantic surprises. That’s the day of the New Moon/Lunar Eclipse at 10 degrees Taurus. If you’ve been around here a while, you’re used to me telling people to set their intentions for the next month on a New Moon. Lunar Eclipses are a particularly powerful New Moon and can carry on their effects for much longer than a month. This Eclipse happens about 45 minutes before the exact Venus-Jupiter conjunction at 27 Pisces. So why not set your sights on finding some love in the next month?

And if nothing else, maybe Venus in Pisces just isn’t your style somehow. If that’s the case, then maybe Venus in Aries next week will bring you better results.
